Apple Orchard season is here! Picking apples is one of my favorite things to do during the Fall Season! We went this past weekend and had soooo many apples. I of course did not want any to go to waste so I baked a ton with apples and I also made a big batch of applesauce and froze it! Homemade apple sauce is so simple to make and this instant pot recipe makes it even faster and easier! You won’t want to buy store bought apple sauce again!
For this recipe you will just need 10 Apples (I used honey crisp), Juice of one Lemon, 1 Teaspoon of Cinnamon, and 1 Cup of water.
All you need to do is peel and core the apples and then dice them. Add them to your instant pot along with the water, lemon juice, and the cinnamon. Mix it together. Then put on the lid and set to sealing. Cook on manual for 8 minutes. Once done, manually release the pressure and mash the apples with a potato masher! Enjoy!
This freezes very well!
