Chicken Parmesan Baked Ziti

I love a good baked ziti. It is the perfect comfort food and super delicious! I had some left over chicken breasts so I decided to add it to my usual baked ziti recipe and it was delicious! This is a simple dinner with very little prep time.

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

The first step is to bring a pot of water to a boil. Then add the ziti pasta and cook until al dente (the package should have the amount of time to boil the noodles).

The next thing you want to do is cut up 1 pound of chicken breasts into strips. Season with salt and pepper and cook with olive oil on a medium heat pan for about 5-7 minutes per each side until no longer pink inside.

Once pasta is boiled drain the pasta then add it back to the pan. Add the marinara sauce and mix together.

Now it’s time to layer your baking dish. In a large baking dish add in half of the sauce covered ziti then add half the chicken over the top then add half of the mozzarella and half of the parmesan cheese. Repeat this step for the next layer.

Bake in oven for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly. Enjoy!
