This Playdough recipe is super easy to make takes about 5 minutes and is taste safe for kiddos that are still putting everything in their mouths! We like to store ours in mason jars to make it last long!
For this recipe you will need 1 Cup of All Purpose Flour, 1/3 Cup of Salt, 2 Teaspoons Cream of Tartar, 1 Cup of water, and 1 Tablespoon of vegetable oil. We do not use vegetable oil in our home so I always use avocado oil for this! Food Coloring is also optional to make different colored playdough!
Add all dry ingredients into a medium sauce pan and mix together (I use a wisk). Then add in the wet ingredients and turn the sauce pan on to medium heat.
Stir until everything clumps together. Once it gets pretty difficult to stir remove from heat and knead the dough with your hands. This is when you want to separate your playdough and add in food coloring and mix with your hands. This will get sticky so keep adding in flour as needed to make it not sticky.
I like to set this playdough out with different things such as popsicle sticks, small rolling pin, animal toys, etc. so that the kiddos can get creative! We like to store it in mason jars to keep it lasting long!
